Image by Tim Pearce, Los Gatos via FlickrTodays winner is the Virginia Department of Prisons, The inmate Robert Gleason Jr. told prison officials both times he has committed murder in prison(yes told them) he ws gonna do it again if they did not do something. His first request was to remove his cell mate(who had a history of mental health issues) who repeatedly masturbated in the cell, drank his own urine for extra ciggarettes on the yard and was basically you know HARD TO LIVE WITH. The second request a little more off the wall, he REQUESTED the death penalty be applied to his case or he would kill again. How much more information does the Virginia Department of Prisons need? This man should have been segregated from the entire population of the prison until at least August 31 2010 when he is sentenced for the killing of the first inmate. So for that lack of judgement and the sheer lack of any innititive on the part of the prison, another family has lost a loved one and THE RED ONION has another bunk open! All I can say to you Virginia is OH NO YOU DIDNT!
